Black, Brown, Indigenous, Asian, Dual-Heritage, "people of colour" or "BIPOC" (often referred to as "minorities") actually make up more than 80% of the global population! đ€Ż
That's a HUGE MARKET that is waiting to be served.
Yet, the coaching and personal development industry, which is global... was not built for us and often fails to meet our needs.Â
Personal development as an "industry" began as a luxury for middle to upper class white folks and was never designed to support us, the global majority.
In fact, many leaders and coaches are causing unintentional harm.
But if you're here, and answered YES to the above questions...
You're being called to join us in co-creating the new paradigm of coaching.

ShĂ©:kon (hello)Â
My name is Emily and my ancestry is Mohawk/Kanyen'kehĂ :ka (First Nations) on my father's side and mixed Algonquin and European-Settler on my mom's side.Â
I'm an inclusive communications professional working in higher education, now bringing this much needed work on inclusion and decolonization to the coaching industry.
Having navigated the personal development world for 10+ years and being a coach for 4+ years, I've seen and experienced the power of this work. I believe we all could use a mentor/coach/therapist to support us with all that life brings. But as a First Nations woman, something was always missing for me...
The lens of decolonization and antiracism.
The Decolonized Coach Community was created to allow decolonization to not just be a metaphor but to give you specific, tangible ways to adjust or build your coaching business on a foundation of justice, equity and inclusion.

I think I missed one of our calls recently but I DO love the calls so much. Such a safe space to process and be witnessed in the work of unlearning and remembering our divine nature in Earth based wisdom.

Thank you to each of you who offered understanding, perspective and wisdom on last night's call. One of my intentions for joining DCC was to become more confident in having challenging conversations with friends and family.

This is by far one of the best investments I could have made for my own personal decolonization journey. The support from the group is so encouraging, whether this be through our Facebook posts or on our live calls.
