It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and powerless to political powers and systems that are causing destruction left, right and centre.

A quick scroll through social media and anxiety sets in - disaster is everywhere.

From climate crisis to racism and bigotry getting louder and more emboldened by the day…

…to economic uncertainty and basic human rights regressing after our ancestors fought so hard to get us to where we are today — albeit imperfect and with more work to be done.

It’s difficult not to slip into hopelessness when things are not only not improving but seem to be moving backwards in a world that also seems to be flipping on its head.

So what’s the good news here?

The good news is that we are in fact not powerless; they just want us to believe that we are.
